Today I'm showing you another polish I got on Elizabeth's giveaway, widely popular Revlon Scandalous, aka Facets of Fuchsia (name of the previous release), aka Deborah Lippmann's Bad Romance dupe. You've all probably seen it million times before.
The black jelly base that is filled with large hex and smaller round purple glitters, it's chic and vampy at the same time, safe to say that probably everyone likes this. Even I'm not that crazy on purple, but in this combination it just works wonders.
The base of the polish is sheer and it takes 3 coats for nice coverage. But those 3 coats also give it something more - depth. Immersed in all those layers of black jelly base, purple glitters create dimension, I suppose it would look much more flat and simplified with just one coat over black. The surface after three coats is rough, as expected, and even after one thick coat of top coat, it kind of stays lumpy, but I'm sure with a little more careful application it could be better. I was just too excited to try this on.It's a kind of polish that people notice. I am not used to getting to much attention for my nails (kind of strange but I promise it's true), as I mostly wear simple colors, no nail art, no long nails etc.... but this seemed to get noticed by almost everyone.
Such a unique polish - if you are lucky enough to be in a place where you can obtain it easily - go ahead and get it. Should be a part of every nail polish lover collection.
And not to forget, my best Christmas wishes go out to all my readers who celebrate it!
