Dark purple comparison

Inspired by the recent post on China Glaze Midnight Ride, I decided to check my collection and find some similar shades to compare. Although my purples are almost countless, with so many different shades and varieties of the color, I don't really have a lot of super dark ones like this. Here are some of the closest ones, none of which are too close.

China Glaze Midnight Ride, Aura Vip Purple Revolution, Don Juan 191 and Gabrini matte 394

On the nails, two coats of each, with an added top coat ove Gabrini matte:

While all of these are dark purples, you can see how visibly darker is Midnight Ride compared to all the rest, like it is almost black based, with just a touch of purple. Aura is lighter and more blue-toned, Don Juan and Gabrini are also lighter, with more red in them and with different type of shimmer - no dupes to China Glaze. Also, this comparison has been useful in finding almost dupes in Don Juan and Gabrini, now I can get rid of that Gabrini with no regrets. So far I've kept it despite of it's toxic smell, because I thought I had nothing close and loved the color too much to throw it away. 

I've had some other suggestions in my comments, comparing Midnight Ride to Seventeen 493, which I don't have, but it sure looks very close. Thanks to Vedrana and Sonja for the photos :)
