This OPI beauty was gifted to me recently by a dear friend, who knows very well about my love of unusual polish colors, and I suspect she might have peeked into my wishlist a little too, because she really hit the nail on the head with it, just a perfect gift for me. Thanks again, C!
Jade is The New Black was a part of spring 2010 Hong Kong OPI collection, that was filled with many wonderful vivid shades, and somehow this one is my first from that collection.
The name is really cool, the shade is absolute perfection, true jade, blue-ish green creme, and best of all it is almost 99% dupe of one of my most favorite green shades ever - Essence In The Jungle. Good comparison pics of the two can be found on this post on Parokeets blog and this post on Polish Art Addiction
I used 2 coats, no top coat here. Formula is of normal thickness, just right to ensure easy and quick application, two coats cover nicely, dry fast and extremelly glossy. I am not sure if this is still avalable as part of OPI's core line, but since the collection was from not too long ago, and presumably not many 'normal' people love wearing green - I'm just guessing that it is still easy to find.
Thanks for stopping by!
